Why is the heart quilt making getting it finished so difficult???
I fixed the weird missing seam that I noticed when I was squaring the quilt the other day. Then I put the 2-inch boarder on.
But, when I laid the quilt top out after putting the boarder on I didn’t love how it looked. I felt like the boarder didn’t work well next to the hearts that are on the edge of the quilt.
So I started taking the boarder off during rest time. After ripping out several inches of the boarder I panicked at how long it was going to take to take the entire boarder off.
So I called my mom who has done her own fair share of sewing and explained that I didn’t love the boarder, but also did not want to take the whole thing off.
She suggested I send her some pictures so I laid the quilt back on my bed so I could do that. When I looked at it again I decided the boarder actually didn’t look that bad.
So I left it on and finally was able to officially be done with the piecing.
Next up… long-arm machine quilting!
