I completed the last rows on the heart quilt top this afternoon!

Sewing for awhile this morning while my mom took the kids on a walk, and then again while my youngest napped this afternoon provided enough time to finish the last few rows.

Then I ironed the quilt top after finishing the rows and worked on sewing strips together for one of the boarders..

Next up is squaring the side edges of the quilt top and adding the boarders.

I am planning two boarders at this point. The first one will be a 2-inch boarder with extra fabric from the hearts. The second boarder will be a 4-inch boarder of the background fabric from the quilt top.

I plan to long-arm machine quilt this project next week and then I will just have the binding left to do.

Getting this quilt finished is going to make a big impact in decluttering my tiny sewing closet!
